Club Information

Who are we?

The New York City Junior Volleyball Association (NJCJVA) is a section 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1993 under the direction of Doug Levine to introduce the young athletes of NYC to the game of volleyball. We offer travel teams, skills academies, and camps. Athletes range from 8 to 18 years years old, and live in all five boroughs of New York City.

Today, our organization has grown into the most successful club in the region, qualifying teams to USAV Junior Nationals at every age group, and sending many athletes to play volleyball at the collegiate level, and giving over $250,000 of financial aid annually to deserving young athletes.

Goals & Philosophy

NYCJVA works with girls of all ages and backgrounds to develop high-level volleyball skills and to promote teamwork, responsibility, and self-discipline. We strive to provide the highest quality training on and off the court, in hopes that our athletes will apply what they have learned to their everyday lives.

Achieving Our Goals

  • Promote the game of volleyball at an early age in all areas of New York City
  • Teach the value of teamwork, responsibility, and self-discipline
  • Build self-esteem and self-efficacy
  • Provide the best quality training in the physical, cognitive, and social domains
  • Compete at the highest level regionally and nationally
  • Support academics and collegiate aspirations
